Originally from the plains of Kansas, at 13, Stephen picked up a camera, started making films with his friends, then never really stopped.

His work takes him across the US shooting documentaries, commercials, narratives, and music videos.

 

Stephen views cinematography as equal parts art and science, his practice focuses on constructing a visual language with his collaborators and aesthetic principles according to each story.
